The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) continues to lead and coordinate the delivery of the Serious Violence Reduction Programme (SVRP) and Serious Violence Duty across Devon and Cornwall. Through refreshed Government funding for 2026-27, the OPCC is supporting a range of evidence-based interventions designed to prevent and reduce serious violence, address its root causes, and improve outcomes for individuals and communities.
Projects funded through the programme are delivered in partnership with local authorities, policing, health, education, youth services and voluntary sector organisations through Community Safety Partnerships. These initiatives focus on prevention, early intervention, safeguarding and community resilience, ensuring that resources are directed towards those most at risk of involvement in violence.
