The Commissioner has secured funding through the Home Office’s Knife Crime Concentration Fund (KCCF), recognising the importance of targeted action to prevent knife related violence and keep communities safe.
The funding will support a coordinated programme of activity in identified locations, bringing together policing, local authorities, youth services, community safety partnerships and voluntary sector organisations. Through strong partnership arrangements, the programme will focus on prevention, early intervention and engagement with those most vulnerable to involvement in knife related harm.
By investing in local solutions and collaborative approaches, the Commissioner and partners are working to reduce knife crime, improve community confidence and create safer environments for young people and residents across the force area.
