There is the possibility of a pilot programme being developed in Plymouth using self swab rape kits as an alternative means for women to feel empowered and to encourage a debate about rape and access to support services for victims.
The Commissioner’s office is exploring whether itwill fund an evaluation of this work should it be developed locally.
