We are exploring the opportunity for an accreditation scheme which would provide anyone (including businesses) access to accredited training to combat violence against women and girls (VAWG).
Example of learning would be how to recognise the signs and understanding how to intervene, which would help those wanting to help but not understanding how to, or what to say or do.
Based on feedback and ideas from the Disruptive VAWG event, we are exploring the development of a framework for providers to access and then become accredited trainers for VAWG approaches.
Businesses or community groups could then access the training on a gold, silver or bronze level to seek an accreditation via training, gaining a visible manifestation of their commitment to action. The scope of this is still under development.
