Vacancy: Customer Service Support Officer

Are you looking for an exciting role at the heart of policing, with the reward of contributing to making Devon and Cornwall a safer place to live?

The OPCC is recruiting to a Customer Service Support Officer vacancy within its Communications and Customer Engagement team.

The Customer Service Support Officer is a front-line role and is usually the first point of contact for members of the public. Often these correspondents will be seeking help, guidance and support because they have been a victim of crime or have been in contact with police.

The role holder typically assesses incoming correspondence and phone calls, support public engagement events and works as part of a team which supports the Commissioner in her duty to seek views of residents of Devon and Cornwall.

The successful applicant will be a problem solver who is keen to assist colleagues across the office. They may have a background in customer services but more important to us are the behavioural competencies outlined in the role profile and a can-do attitude. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to pursue a career within policing or the criminal justice system within a supportive environment where innovation is nurtured.
